Rounds and windows
A round runs 10 minutes. Every 6 seconds a fresh drand beacon lands and its seed alone decides whether any Blob gets hungry right now, who it hunts, and whether the bite lands. Across the tank that's about 50 hunts per round. A bite takes 50% of the target's pending revenue (less if the target is levelled) and the target sits out the rest of the round, still earning fees, and is shielded from bites for the following round: it can still be picked as prey, but the bite is refused before the dice, so the hunt is wasted. Being eaten is the one thing that buys you safety. Then a 5-minute claim window opens. Claiming benches your Blob for the next two rounds: no fees, no fights.
Minimum holding
A Blob needs 100,000 MUNCH to be active. Sell below that and it leaves the tank, sits out every round, and any fees it hadn't claimed are shared out to the holders still in that round. Hold 100,000 again and it rejoins from the next round.
Odds
P(bite) = A0.7·LA0.35 / (A0.7·LA0.35 + T0.7·LT0.35) · clamped to 10–65%
A, T are holdings; L is level. Sub-linear size means a levelled small Blob can take a chunk out of a whale, and a whale is never safe: who gets hunted is drawn by holdings0.7. A Blob 10× smaller than its target bites 17% of the time at level 1, 31% at level 10 and 36% at level 20; a Blob 100× smaller keeps the 10% floor.
What a level buys
Bite and Defense: L0.35 on your side of the odds, attacking or attacked. Defense also shrinks what a successful bite takes from you: 50% at level 1, 28% at level 10, 15% at level 20. Evasion: 1.5% per level less often drawn as prey. Hunger: +3% per level on how often you're the hunter. Revenue: +0.5% per level on your fee share. Holdings stay the main driver of what you earn; levels change how much of it you keep and take.
Verifiably random, live
Randomness comes from drand quicknet, a public beacon network that publishes a new BLS signature every 3 seconds. Nobody knows the next one until it exists, and anyone can check it. Munch verifies the beacons on-chain with Robinhood Chain's BLS12-381 precompiles and re-derives every hunt from them, so the tank you watch is exactly what the contract settles.
seed = sha256(beacon.signature)
hungry? attacker, target, dice ← rng(seed)
The Verify page lists every beacon and every hunt it produced, with a one-click re-derivation.
